Moroccan ritual at home

Hammam at home in Marrakech

The Moroccan hammam ritual, without leaving your riad, villa or hotel room. Our female therapists bring black soap, a kessa glove, rhassoul clay and argan oil, and set up the treatment in your bathroom or your accommodation's private hammam.

Two rituals to choose from: the Traditional Berber Hammam (75 min, 550 MAD) and the Royal Radiance & Orange Blossom Hammam (90 min, 650 MAD).

Our two hammam rituals

How a hammam at home works

  1. Black soap applied to damp skin to prepare for the scrub.
  2. Kessa glove scrub to remove dead skin.
  3. Rhassoul clay wrap (Berber Hammam) or salt and orange blossom treatment (Royal Hammam).
  4. Rinsing, then an argan oil massage or argan mask, depending on the ritual.

The full sequence, with our tips, is explained in the guide hammam at home: what to expect.

No hammam in your riad? No problem

A private hammam is a real bonus, but it isn't essential: a bathroom with a shower and hot water is enough for rinsing. The massage then takes place on the table your therapist brings. We check the space with you on WhatsApp when confirming.

Hammam at home or public hammam?

  • Public hammam: an authentic local experience in a shared space, with separate hours or areas for men and women.
  • Spa hammam: a private hot room, but a return journey and set time slots.
  • Hammam at home: the ritual in complete privacy, at your place, with no journey and a therapist who takes care of you alone.

Frequently asked questions

Can I have a hammam at home in a hotel room?

Yes, if the bathroom has a shower with hot water. Let reception know your therapist is coming, depending on the hotel's policy.

What should I wear?

Swimwear or underwear you don't mind getting wet.

Can I have a hammam while pregnant?

Ask your doctor first: heat and vigorous scrubs are not always suitable. If in doubt, choose the pregnancy massage.

Can I have a hammam after sunburn?

No scrubbing on sunburnt skin: wait until it has calmed down, or choose a Berber massage in the meantime.

Can two people book a hammam?

Yes, two therapists can come together. Depending on the space and the number of bathrooms, treatments take place at the same time or one after the other.

Is travel included?

Yes, within Marrakech and its close surroundings. For more distant areas, any fee is confirmed before booking.
