Having a massage in your hotel room in Marrakech: a practical guide
Reception, space, privacy: everything to know before having a massage in your hotel or riad room.
Updated

A massage in your own room is one of the small luxuries of a stay in Marrakech: no journey, no waiting room and the chance to stay relaxed after the treatment.
To make sure everything goes smoothly, here is what to check before your therapist arrives.
1. Let reception know
Every hotel has its own policy on outside visitors. Tell reception what time your treatment is booked so your therapist can come up without waiting. In a riad, a quick message to the manager is usually enough.
2. Make a little space
Your therapist brings a folding massage table. There needs to be enough room to set it up and walk around it: move an armchair or coffee table if needed. In a small room, a lounge, a private terrace or a corner of a suite can work.
3. Set the mood
- Adjust the air conditioning or heating so the room is comfortable.
- Draw the curtains and switch off the TV.
- Put your phone on silent.
- Keep a bottle of water for after the treatment.
4. As a couple
For a couples massage, two therapists come at the same time. You will need space for two tables, or two rooms. In a standard room, one treatment after the other is sometimes more comfortable.
5. A hammam in your room
A hammam at home is possible if the bathroom has a shower with hot water. The final massage then takes place on the massage table.
6. Professional and discreet
Our female therapists provide professional, non-sensual wellness treatments only. They respect your privacy and the hotel's rules. Our code of conduct sums up our commitments.
